Learning resources
Video lessons in Tigrinya, made by Meskot with local teachers from the approved K–8 curriculum, for children to use online and offline.
What Meskot makes
Lessons that supplement classroom teaching, in the children's mother tongue.
Meskot works with experienced local teachers to turn approved curriculum content into clear video lessons. Each lesson follows the curriculum of the Tigray education system, so it fits what children study in school, and it is recorded in Tigrinya, the language most children in Tigray grow up speaking.
The lessons are resources, not a school: children watch them to learn and practise at their own pace, with or without internet, and teachers use them alongside their own teaching.

How children use them
Online where there is internet, offline where there is not.
The lessons are shared online, and offline on USB drives, on DVDs and through SolarSPELL digital libraries, so schools and community centers can use them without a connection.
In an Offline Learning Corner, children watch the lessons on a television in small groups by grade, with a local teacher who helps each child choose the lessons they need.
